RMP 3/8" 304/304L Stainless Steel HRAP 12" x 12". 304/304L dual certified stainless plate has very low carbon content. Austenitic steel are non-magnetic stainless steels that contain higher levels of chromium and nickel and lower levels of carbon. Known for their formability and resistance to corrosion, austenitic steels are the most widely used grade of stainless steel. It is produced by electric-furnace melting. The only practical difference between 304 and 304L is the carbon content.
304L is known to weld a little bit better. This dual certified material falls within the range of both 304 and 304L
